There he sat, the man who made the great city of Xu Chang the starting point of his Kingdom. Leaning back in his chair, with his arms laying on the arm rests, and his hands griped the end of the arm rests, which at the end of them where crafted dragons heads, with there Tounges sticking out from the mouth. The scenery of palace was fit for the mood of Lord Mengde, As you would enter through the doors of the palace there would be a long blue carpet leading to the Throne which Lord Mengde would be sitting on, as you would enter more into the depths of the palace, there would be flames held in a torch, which sat on the walls, there where about 6-8 feet from each other, and between them would be the banner of Wei hanging from the walls between the lit torches on the wall.
Then there would be Imperial guards, near the actual throne of Lord Mengde's, three on each side, with Spears, and heavy weight amour. Holding there spears in two hands grasping it firmly right near there chest. Then leading up would be the Ruler of it all. Not really a spectacular Palace, but Cao didn't want all fancy things, while his Kingdom was still small among other Kingdoms in the land trying to contend with the likes of people like, Sun Jian, Yuan Shao and Liu Bei. Each man making there own mark in the land as it was.
Yuan Shao, an old friend of Cao Mengde, perhaps this two men would meet in battle one day since both these men have a strong will of desire to have only one dominant Kingdom in the land of China. Sun Jian, The Tiger Jiang Dong, perhaps a little bit to much fire in this mans heart to keep on going until his time is up, but a good warroir none the less in past battles, with officers such as Cheng Pu, Huang Gai and Han Dang with him, any Ruler would be please to have Generals such as that by your side. Last but not least would be Liu Bei, creating somewhat of a Minor Han with his Shu Kingdom in progress. Perhaps somewhat to loyal to the Han as it seems with his two sons with him.
But what was to become of Cao Mengde, his troop count is small, and with his two cousins as his only officers, he really isn't much of a power, but the number of troops doesn't matter for him, as long as he could win the mind game of the battle, he'll win the War.
Making his way through the palace doors, came his trusted cousin Cao Hong, which has been with Cao Mengde through the whole start of it all, and it very trusted with him. Coming in full amour as usual, of Hong, came with news. "Ah...Cao Hong...what brings you here."
*Hong bows before his response to his Lordship* "I Have news my'lord, seeing how we're in the same region as Lord Liu Bei..news have got out that he attacks Xiao Pei. It seems as though he stopped his assault on Jian Ye, and looks to expand his kingdom by attacking minor cities"
"Hmm...So Liu Bei, plans to quickly expand his Kingdom..this may perhaps be his downfall.."
"Well I Was thinking we should do the same...Seeing as we have no huge threat except his lordship Yuan Shao..I Was thinking we should occupy Chen Liu, it would help us extreamly, and it would hold for a good rear defense, it Liu Bei plans to attack us there.."
"...Hmmm...so it seems...alright then Cao Hong, when ever you have your troops ready and enough men, you can occupy the city of Chen Liu, and please take our other cousin Cao Chun with you..it seems he could use some.....well...entertainment.."
"Yes Lord Mengde..I Will try not to loose to many men in this battle, and bring home the good news.."
With this said Cao Hong left the palace....
